Consensus Design - Socially Inclusive Process

This book is the result of communal design, so I must thank the many I have worked with over the years. Particularly, however, I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Margaret Colquhoun. Without what I’ve learnt from her, there would be no process method and no book. Nor would there have been a book had not Penina Finger encouraged me to write it. Obvious as this way of working seems to me, it was she who recognized how different is this from ‘normal’ design methods. Amongst many others to whom I owe thanks: Vicky Moller, Aloma Day, Kim Sorvig and Tom Woolley gave invaluable editorial advice; Alison Yates and Lesley Gray managed (despite my disorganization) to get the book together; Katherine MacInnes arranged critical appraisals which greatly helped clarify my thinking. Indeed I realized it is useful to hink sometimes. And especially, I am grateful to Rosie Parnell for research to complement my non-academic experience, and her discerning editorial clarity – and for being fun to work with (work that isn’t fun is boring, hence this book is all about fun
work). Most of all, I must thank those many who trusted me, as I have always started every project knowing ‘nothing’.  Download In PDF Format More Details Below.
